Green Tea Exfoliating Facial Scrub

Green Tea Exfoliating Facial Scrub

Green Tea for great looking skin!

Green tea benefits the skin by keeping it rejuvenated which makes it look young and radiant. The main ingredients responsible for this are the naturally present anti-aging and the anti-oxidizing properties. The anti-oxidant works to clear cell damage on the skin thus repairing wrinkles, blemishes or other impurities. Green tea also acts as an all natural sun screen; oxidation moves between the cells causing the skin to become looser. With age, the immune system slows down and thus wrinkles appear on the skin with exposure to sun.

Green tea used with sun block reduces this damage to the skin; cells affected by green tea become stronger and work together thus making the damage from Ultraviolet rays vanish.

Why exfoliation?

Exfoliating removes dead skin cells to reveal a softer and more radiant complexion. It stimulates blood flow and skin cell renewal for younger and healthier skin. It cleanses pores, helps to break up scar tissue and rejuvenates the skin for a more radiant, healthy glow.

Recipe For a Really Great  Green Tea Exfoliating Facial Scrub

Cleanse your skin with a cleanser. Take 1 tablespoon or 1 tea bag of Green Tea and mix in hot water, put aside to cool. When lukewarm, mix in 3 tablespoons of white sugar in it. Sugar produces glycolic acid; a natural alpha acid that exfoliates the skin. Not only that, sugar is also known to soften the skin due to its natural glycerin content. As a third ingredient; you can use 1 teaspoon of any one of the following depending on the result you want to have:

- Johnson’s baby oil for skin softening

- Yogurt for a soothing effect

- Lemon juice for cleansing

- Honey to moisturize

Dab the scrub evenly onto your face avoiding the eye area. Exfoliate with finger tips in circular movements. Rinse off after a minute or two, then with the remaining green tea, dab on your face with a cotton wipe. The green tea acts as a toner as well! Just one more great remedy for your skin to try. You will have a more rejuvenated,  and clear complexion. Now that’s what I call a great green tea exfoliating facial scrub!
