His skin changed almost overnight. Pimply skin, itchy red patches and dark under eye circles were in direct correlation to the worsening of the gut symptoms and IBS.

But instead of running to get a cream or pill to mask the symptoms,

Dr Hyman went on a clear skin diet

He started eating more fresh fruits and vegetables (they contain antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds)

He cut way back on sugar since it raises insulin levels and inflammation

Cut out saturated fat and processed fat which causes even more inflammation

Cut out milk and dairy because of their link to hormones and saturated fat

Reduced his intake of gluten and yeast (a major cause of food allergies and acne issues)

Knowing he must be deficient in these, Dr Hyman included in his diet:

Zinc

Omega-3

Omega-6

A topical form of vitamin B3

Vitamin A

Vitamin E

He also started eating more

Turmeric

Ginger

Green tea

Fish oil

Nuts

Red berries

Leafy greens and vegetables

Needing good bacteria in his gut Dr Hyman added a probiotic

And a stress reducing exercise like yoga

Today Dr Hyman is clear of not only acne, but intestinal gut issues as well.
